Accelerated PM has worked with many companies in developing the Integrated Master Schedule to support earned value system requirements.  We frequently see companies taking short-cuts or avoiding a true integrated cost schedule system by having a non-integrated system or double entry. We strongly encourage data connectivity between the working schedule and the earned value curve for a performance measurement.  The tools are capable and the processes can be very well defined.
